Summary

At the Round Table it is suggested to discuss various proposals for strategybuilding system’s improvement and provide the best experience of regions and cities in this field. Presentations of best practices will be presented on the results of “The AllRussian Contest of regional strategies in 2011”.
Scheduled reports will deal with the following issues:
· What is essential for the sustainable development of Russian regions? Which barriers and constraints exist in the processes of strategybuilding?
· What conditions have to be created for diffusion and implementation of best strategy development practices in regions and cities of Russia?
· What are the legislative and institutional measures needed to improve the system of strategic planning?
